Murz is a Nigerian trap/hip hop artist. He grew up listening to many genres of music but his biggest influences always came from music that spoke to his soul, music that helped him grow on the streets of Port Harcourt city. He acquired some recognition after dropping his first body of work ‘SPACE BOY’. The EP has garnered over 20,000 + streams in as little as two months and with this he racked up a good number of following on instagram.
Despite the dangers that lurk on the streets, his childhood was fairly normal. However when his dad passed away at thirteen, he started getting into trouble by moving with various gangs. At sixteen he lost a friend to gun violence and that was when he decided to get into the university, and from there he slowly built his rap career. In 2019 , Murz released his first single titled ‘NO SALARY BOYS’ and the track received a minimal feedback but he kept on moving and after a while he dropped another single titled ‘DISEMBARK’ and this set a good number of eyes on him, he decided it was time to chase the music full time.
